Lisa Chappell is a London based artist and currently works as Specialist Screenprint technician at London College of Communication.
Lisa’s current practice explores motion, stillness and the passage of time: focussing on transient moments experienced by travel, shifting views and changing light, as seen through windows and digital devices.
She has a particular interest in photomechanical print processes, translating spontaneous photos via “slow” multi layered processes such as photo etching, photo litho and screenprint.
The shapes of windows and digital screens are often used as compositional devices to provide the viewpoint, ranging in format such as single image, obliquely angled, sequential or multi-frame images.
