My body of work explores the use and combinations of different materials to explore themes of reaction, change, cause and effect, serendipity verses control. In my work natural and manufactured materials act as a catalyst for serendipitous visualisations and surface textures, shapes and patterns. My artworks take the form of experimental samples, ceramic pieces, textile-based artifacts, photography and combined pieces. I am influenced by natural forms and environmental elements. Taking inspiration from the natural world, my work visualises hopeful and utopian futures. My work has recently been exhibited at “Flock” Two Queens Members Show, Leicester and ‘The Heseltine Gallery Open’ Exhibition and ‘Mirrors of Humanity’ at the Leicester Gallery. Artist in residency at Whilton Village Hall, Whilton working with the local community to produce a textile-based body of work as a permanent installation in the Village Hall.
